One of the rare mammals kept in Jasmine Park. I'm kinda surprised that they kept this before larger zoos like TSI and BSZ does.

It's because this place is technicaly a commercialized private collection of the owner, Brazilian porcupines and among others there are readily available in certain exotic pet suppliers and the owner clearly have the means to get them.

Though, animals like the former trichys fasciculata and corvus tristis that they used to have, and other native faunas, have a very questionable origin (Likely one of the reason this place was closed for a while).

@Rizz Carlton I actually kinda missed out on a lot of rarities kept in Jasmine Park. All of them are no longer housed there like:
  • Grey crow
  • Long-tailed porcupine
  • Hairy armadillo
  • Whatever housed in the reptile section (probably their large elephant trunk snake)

@Fargusno it's not probably, they do have a small group of acrochordus javanicus, unfortunately I didn't see it in July.

They're shown in the first announcement of a new reptile area last year, before it was taken down following the investigation into their collection by BKSDA.

@Rizz Carlton That sucks. I never seen elephant trunk snakes in a long time. Last time was back in 2014 in River Safari AFAIK, but I might've seen them around 2016-2018 or so IDK.
