Pecelmadiun bent-toed gecko (Cyrtodactylus pecelmadiun)

Glad you have a photo of this elusive gecko. When I went there last month it was hiding out of my vision.

@Fargusno 1.) Patience, 2.) Being at the right time and the right place, 3.) Know where to look at.

The gecko was just ambushed an cricket right before, so it was partially active and was just at the right spot of the tree bark to be able to be photographed succesfuly.

Anyway, crytodactylus pecelmadiun is a species of bent-toed gecko that was just very recently described this year. They were first found and described in Magetan, and was also mentioned to be found in Mojokerto as well, both in the province of East Java.

Jagat Satwa was proud to be able to display this newly-described species, with banners and large signages describing it and what makes them special (As all taxas are :)).
