@Fargusno I already reported on it last year on the TMII thread, the crocodile was one of the handful of species attemped to be smuggled outside of the country.
The adult Siamese crocodile with the bent snout was rescued? Tell me more about that. Are you sure that this specific individual was held in the what is now the albino crocodile exhibit? When did you see that?
@Rizz Carlton The one with the bent snout is still in its current exhibit near the saltwater crocodile exhibit. AFAIK it was rescued, but IDK much about that.
@Fargusno from the condition of the snout, I could tell that it was likely to be a rescue. I just wonder where did you get that information from.
I know about where the larger Siamese crocodile live at. I photographed this croc in what originally meant to be the albino croc exhibit, before being moved back to the original exhibit. The albino croc still live there during this visit.
@captain alligator this is confirmed to be C. siamensis. Compared to the saltwater crocs, the Siamese crocodile are much smaller and more noticably they have a more slimmer body as well as a shorter and narrower snout. This description fit this individual.
@Rizz Carlton It is true that Saltwater crocodile grow larger than Siamese crocodile, and their snouts become wider as they become adults. (I think there are more Saltwater crocodile than Siamese crocodile in Indonesia.)
