Some of the hoofstock yards at this zoo are quite impressive, but a few of the primate enclosures are awful. Gibbons in low cages, chimps with a slab of cement indoors...
The great ape complex isn't too shabby in my opinion, but indeed it was pretty shocking to see these gibbon and macaque cages still in use. The zoo would be better off shipping these species out and demolishing these terrible enclosures, even if the space sat empty for several years.
