Buin Zoo Entrance

@SivatheriumGuy
I hardly believe there is a better zoo in Chile, both in terms of exhibits and species list. The collection is quite diverse and among the most "exotic-rich" in South America.
I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of the right side of the zoo, where the American, Chilean, and Asia/Oceania zones are located. I wasn’t very convinced by the cultural enrichment efforts, and the attempt to fit so many different ecozones—along with the aquarium, terrarium, and tropical hall—felt a bit confusing. The Nocturnal House and the new Chilean Aviary are notable exceptions.
The left side, featuring the African zone, offered a more pleasant experience. Most of the exhibits there are smartly designed to make efficient use of the available space. The Savanna area, with its nice viewing points, Lion Rocks, and the Genevie exhibit, deserves special mention here.

@twilighter Thanks for the insightful answer. I've always found Buin to be a curious facility, and their current masterplan ideas really paint a nice picture of what the park intends to become in the following years. The Chilean aviary looks like a truly outstanding zoo exhibit. I hope they keep up with the quality of it when it comes to their future plans.
