I was trying to get a good size-comparison photo showing how big Great Bowerbirds are, but the photos had to be taken through a mesh screen which messed up the focus (it could be slid open for unobstructed shots but the bowerbirds would usually take off immediately when that was done).
This is a very nice photo when you take into consideration all of the obstacles that you had to deal with! Mesh is important and great for protecting birds, but the trade off is that it ruins photography!
