@ralph I saw two of them (or potentially the same individual at two different feeders) without any difficulty. It was also one of my target species that I was worried about missing in such a big enclosure but no problems.
@ralph If I recall correctly, there's 2 pairs that live in Heart of Africa. Though generally I've found them most often by the feeders beside the pond on the 2nd level, most often accompanied by the Ashy Starling too.
They're also there during decently heavy rains too
The Heart of Africa aviary has multiple species I haven't seen before so it seems like I need to spend a good amount of time there. The ashy starling is one of those.
African pied hornbill and grey-headed bristlebill are two of my other targets, but I feel like especially the latter will be a challenge.
I have also yet to see tambourine dove, western bronze-naped pigeon and lemon dove.
@ralph Based on my personal experience, the African Pied Hornbill is likely the easiest to spot of of the list you mention (excluding the doves because I typically forget about them often), generally being found at the platform during the Starling Feeding.
The Western Bronze Naped Pigeon I've only really seen by the feeders too but they're a bit tricky, the Grey-Headed Bristlebill I've only ever seen once by sheer luck and the Lemon Dove I went with another ZooChatter on a wild goose chase to look for.
Whatever it will be, I genuinely wish the best for you tracking all your wanted species within Heart of Africa.
Well, I would be extemely surprised if I manage to see every species on my wishlist.
Philippine eagle is my #1 target, but that one shouldn't be so hard (photographing it may be tho)
Saffron toucanet is my #2 target, but I'm not counting on actually seeing it.
As for the rest, I'll take what I can get, but I will have to accept missing out on some/a lot of them.
