General view in the Mouse House. I took this photo on a Friday afternoon when the zoo was quiet and nice. I only visited the house briefly that day and decided to make a more proper visit on my second day. But foolish me made the second visit on a Sunday, when both zoo and house were packed.

This is one of my favourite houses at the Bronx Zo, even if it is rather old school. I very much like the combination of the big, Congo-style things, and the more homely likes of the Mouse House, and the pheasant aviaries which feature in another of Baldur's pictures.

Oh I love this house also. Too bad though that I only took some general view photos in it on a Friday and planned to see it properly on my next day there, for which I was stupid enough to pick a Sunday. Bad decision, the house was full.

I would say that the Mouse House at Bronx Zoo is probably one of my favorite still-standing zoo exhibits, along with Red Rocks at St. Louis Zoo (my personal favorite).
