One of the three buffalos, the other two are of the tedong bulan/white color variant of water buffalo.
This greyish-white variant are known in the Toraja culture of South Sulawesi as "tedong sambo", as tedong is the Torajan name of water buffalos. Within Torajan society, water buffalos have a significant role in everyday life, from a form of transactions to a symbol of wealth.
