Could be a rescue from the illegal pet trade network tho, it could be an import to Malaysia instead ;)

I think this is A. collaris just because of the range (It can be found widely in neighbouring Thailand), but I also like to think this is albogularis just because of the orange-brown furs on the neck. But it safe to say that it's not hoevenii.

@Rizz Carlton
Thank you!
Yes, it could be a rescued ex-pet or confiscated animal.
I really don't know about the appearance of the species, but if it is Indochinese hog badger (Arctonyx collaris), it could be the only animal on exhibit in the world...

I've seen Hog Badgers in Singapore too, but I'm not sure of species for those animals too.

Hi

I just found this Instagram post
Angeline Siok on Instagram: "Arctonyx collaris Hog Badger Babi batang besar This fellow crossed International border and got caught in Perlis. It's a badger that looks like a hog. Don't ask me why batang besar.... #badger #sungkai #wildlife #perak #perhilitan"
It states that this animal was rescued wil in Perlis, Malaysia, which is the border state to Thailand.
If this information is correct, the animal will be confirmed to be Greater Hog Badger (Arctonyx collaris), since its natural distribution includes southern Thailand.
