Male Hornbill that I believe to be Buceros rhinoceros rhinoceros due to its casque. I understand that the pair of Rhinoceros hornbills at Winged Sanctuary has been known to be Buceros rhinoceros silverstris by majority of the zoochat community, but as of recent a keeper that works at Winged Sanctuary that I am acquainted with has stated that the pair on display are of the nominate subspecies.
Although I am happy to be corrected as my expertise is more on primates than hornbills.
@Nadchew_ well according to ZIMS Mandai only has 1.0 B.r.rhiniceros, and 1.1 B.r.silvestris. But we know Mandai can be a bit lazy with their ZIMS entries, the Bornean/Malay Firebacks being one such example.
@Zooish the funny thing is the current female on display has the casque of a silverstris. Not sure the animal care team decided to mix both subspecies together.
