@captain alligator Why shouldn't they? Caimans and turtles coexist peacefully in the wild, and for most of the species of caiman, their diet is mostly composed of fish, invertebrates and mammals. And even if there was a risk of predation, the animals are obviously fed in captivity.
@captain alligator I'm aware of, but that's not the case for most of caimans. It is not impossible for them to eat turtles, and it is very possible that at least an attempt of predation happened, but as caimans are usually on the smaller size, they will mostly tackle easier prey.

In addition, well-fed crocodiles (like many other non-mammalian predators - think about sharks in reef aquariums) normally do not hunt. This minimizes the risk of mixing species, especially mixing with a less appealing meal with shell.
