I'm a little surprised at how much land is provided for the Sea Otters. I've seen the species at 15 zoos and the otters have almost always been entirely in the water during my visits. Even at some facilities that I've visited on multiple occasions, I can only really remember Sea Otters coming onto land for keeper training sessions or for brief periods of time. They seem to hardly ever leave the water. My gut feeling based on all these new photos is that the pool should be double the size. Other than that, it's an effective repurposing of an old bear grotto.
