Both adult birds of a pair are full-winged. The nest is placed a few feet above the ground, and all three chicks spend the entire time there. At this time, nights in Germany are no longer warm, but the bird keeper told me that they check the temperature inside the nest in the morning and chicks are not cooled down. There are plans to soon gradually move them into the inner enclosures. Birds are fed by freshwater fishes, dead chickens.
