Great photo! That is certainly a spectacular place to sit and have lunch, and I'm sure that the orangs are just as intrigued by their human relatives...
Great enrichment for the orangs, but I can't help but wonder how they feel about seeing people eating all day long and not being able to get at the food!
why does it have a moat and a window though. having the moat there just seams to waste space that could have been used by the orangs. do they share the exhibit with something else?
this exhibit is so bad for the animals....the smell of the food makes the animals crazy, espcially the smell of fried oil that i smelled when i visited there.
The idea is nice, but i think that they should have think about the types of food that they can or can't sell there.

The main viewing area is outside the cafe and is just across the moat (no window). Although, the Orangs do actually share with something - Short-clawed Otters - hence the little bit of land in front of the window - it's an otter retreat!
Nope, none of them are crazy bacause of the cafe. They dont even care about it.
The Glas keeps the smells from both sides away and stop the otters (who have here a landarea at the window) from escaping.
This exibit isn't the best for Orangs, but certenly still very good.
i was standing out of the cafe, the smell was very storng.....i they surpose to smell even better than me......so i wonder what they smell? and just think about smelling it all day long......
