Coati enclosure

Or maybe you can carry on going to the zoo's you visit but just not look at the hated coatis.
They certainly don't take up much room in most zoo's I've seen them in, and unlike some animals on view they are always active and interesting to view, they look good too!
The kind of zoo you want to see would be pretty boring with only room for certain animals, I like to see a good mix of animals, but in your zoo I guess there would also be no capybara, llama, camels, most deers, most antilopes, zebra, giraffe, lions etc, I could go on and on, but these animals are not endangered and would fill up your perfect zoo and as such from your viewpoint there would be no place for them.

Okay hate coatis is a bit extreme extruded.
I don't hate them, but I don't want them in so many zoos especially in zoos like Bochum which gave away their leopards or bears just to occupy their enclosures with coatis or squirrel monkeys.

Germany has 500 zoos?

well that is stupid!, leopards (esp) and bears are great, coatis dont require that much spece, so why give up leopards and bears for them?

I can understand your point here, but since I have not seen Bochum Tierpark and don't know the exhibits you mention, is there a chance that they gave up their leopards and bears because the exhibits were too small for them? Then it would make sense to populate them with a smaller species.
Burgers Zoo, for instance, replaced their amur tigers with brown-nosed coatis. Instead of a poor tiger habitat they renovated it and now have a brilliant coati habitat!

Yes, techincally. But these include ALL zoos, minizoos, wildlife parks, childrens' farms, aquaria, terraria, birdparks and insectariums.

Australia only has 1 coati...Not one zoo holding coati, I really mean one coati. It lives at Melbourne Zoo all by itself because there aren't anymore here.

@Hix Germany has many Zoos over 50 big zoos and many many many small zoos, often called tierpark.(Some big zoos are called tierpark too, and some small zoos call themself zoo). Here is a site with alll german zoos: http://www.zoo-infos.de/

@Toddy the bear exhibit was too small for bears, but to big for coatis.
They have gibbons sitting in a small cage. They must only put a tissue over the exhibit, ready is the new gibbon home.
The leopard enclosure is very big, i've uploaded pictures of it in the gallery.
It's a shame to use that space for squirrel monkeys.

Maybe this zoo has money problems and coatis are alot cheaper to keep than leopards or bears, but still it's not the coatis fault that they are in and the bears are out!

The zoo has no money problems!
The town owns the zoo, and they plan new exhibits p.e for squirrel monkeys....
