Although it was great to see walruses back in Hamburg again, it is sad that none of the adults have tusks; hopefully this young walrus will eventually develop a fine set of tusks.
The previous Hamburg walrus “Antje” had the most impressive tusks of any captive walrus that I’ve ever seen; I was fortunate enough to see her several times at Hagenbecks in years gone by (and on my last visit to Hamburg I saw her mounted in the Hamburg Zoology Museum).
Well Odin (pacific) mated with all three adult females (Polosa, Dyna (Pacific) and Neseyka (atlantic). So Olivia will have hopefully soon some more play-mates!

We are preparing for Neseyka's return this autumn. Does TH press service say something about this future event?
