The larger of the two indoor exhibits for chimpanzees in Munich Zoo. Nice to see a large indoor habitat for chimps with actual plants and dirt as well as a lot of natural light. The only thing that this exhibit could use would be a net on top and some more climbing structures.

Not pretty, but probably an excellent indoor living space for the chimps. I like it!

But why a net on top? To be used as another climbing structure, you mean?

No, so higher climbing structures can be built without the chimpanzees jumping out of the enclosure (it is open-topped). That's what they are doing the in the Ape Jungle in Copenhagen Zoo at the moment.
