Ahhhh, I had an orgasm hehehe. It's my favourite species of the genus and I never saw it! Congrats by the photo of such a magnific species.

Thank you. Too bad they do not have this species in the collection now. Pictures would be better ...

In the period 1986-1989 I took care for a pair at Walsrode. During this period we kept them in 2 different enclosures : A breeding-aviary behind the scenes with an indoor and an out-door aviary. The other aviary in which they were housed was in the Paradieshalle in one of the big aviaries. They were housed together with a trio Quetzalts, a pair of Red minivets, 2 males Bartlet bleading hearts and a Giant hummingbird.

Three beautiful photographs of a male Bulwer's Pheasant can be seen in the fourth edition of German, a very good monograph of Galliformes of the World "Hühnervogel der Welt" by Heinz-Sigurd Raethel from 1988 (p. 568). Two of the pictures, in my opinion, were made in one of the aviaries of Paradieshalle in Walsrode. I'm sorry, but I do not have any permission to publish them here.

Amazing pheasants with a very interesting, unique company. I think I do not see in Europe again ...
