I think it's a quetzal cichlid. in the good old days they were Cichlasoma synspilum but since Kullander revised the American cichlids it seems to have popped up in most of his new genera, Vieja or Paratheraps or Paraneetroplus seem the most popular guesses .
This guy seems to have been a little incautious in a contest with something nasty.
