Where is that Spur-wing plover from, because it is not what we call a Spur-wing plover in Australia.

This is Vanellus spinosus, known as the spur-winged lapwing or spur-winged plover. In the wild it is found in some parts sub-saharan Africa, Mediterranean and Arabia.
The Australian one is Vanellus miles which, outside of Australia is usually called a masked lapwing.

Yes LaughingDove is completly right, it's the Euro-african species .
