I'm not sure what to say about this House. It looks like a brand-new House, which it is of course, having only been completed very recently. But it looks more from about forty years ago, as if they couldn't think of a way of bettering that type of design. Probably works for the Gorillas okay, as it is obviously a lot more roomy than the previous accomodation, but visually its still very sterile- looking with all the concrete and metal work.
The glass box is presumably an enrichment feeder, they fill it with food and the Apes have to then puzzle out how to manipulate the food items with their fingers through holes and/or slots in order to get it to where they can reach it. Once they have mastered the knack, they can be very dexterous in operating these things.
