Without a shadow of a doubt, the Caprinae are my favourite group of hoofstock; the Turkomen Markhor is perhaps one of my favourite members of this group as a whole. Certainly it is one of the most distinctive-looking.
As such, I was very happy to see this taxon displayed within the Hillside exhibit complex at Wilhelma.
