Zoo am Meer - Northern gannets

The breeding colony of northern gannets (Morus bassanus) inside the exhibit for sea birds in Zoo am Meer, Bremerhaven. Zoo am Meer have had very good breeding results with these. The gannets share their exhibit with Eurasian great cormorants (Phalacrocorax carbo sinensi) and common eider ducks (Somateria mollissima mollissima).

Counting on my photos there would have been 16 individuals at the time of my visit. I have seen northern gannets in four different European zoos and this has so far been my favourite place.
