Carnivore House at Dresden, 29/08/12

Still viewable behind the newer-style lion enclosure in front. At least some of the cages are still used as \'retirement\' homes for small carnivores.

Do you know what is in there?

I visited today, and, whilst it is obviously a Good Thing that this outdated house is no longer in use, I couldn't help but feel a slight pang for the past 20 years! When I last visited Dresden, two decades ago, I remember being really impressed with how they had made strides to make this place habitable, with lots of furnishing and enrichment evident. Now, it is tucked away like an embarrasing uncle at a family gathering....

We couldn't see much unfortunately - there was certainly at least one small cat though (Fishing Cat?).
