Duisburg Zoo - Equatorium (colobus monkeys)

  • Media owner Toddy
  • Date added
The indoor exhibit for western black-and-white colobus monkeys inside the East Entrance extension to the Equatorium in Duisburg Zoo, Germany. Decent but nothing special.

The Equatorium opened in 1962 and was built to house animals from the equatorial rainforests. However, today it is used mainly as a primate house. Most of the monkeys and apes have separate exhibits inside the house but various free-ranging animals also live among the visitors. The East Entrance is an extension of the original building and opened in 2006.
