This was the former cheetah exhibit. Its a really old exhibit, and only two very old wild dogs are live in here. They will stay here until both died. Nobody knows, what will build at this place after the wild dogs are gone.

No wonder, the zoo is within the inner city and has absolutly no change for expansion. Since many,many years, it was planned to build a second, huge zoo out of the city, but the plans couldn't realize because it was not payable for the city, the zoos owner.
So the present plan is to rebuild the zoo into a so called nature-protecting zoo, but nobody knows what this is...The zoo get 30,000,000 Euro for the next 15 years. First project is a new entrance area, and then a new bear enclosure. Unfortunately, many german zoofriends can't understand it why the zoo is building first a new entrance with giftshop and a new restaurant and then a new bear enclsoure."How they can do that ?" they ask them selfs, but maybe it would be better, if these persons would ask this the ZOO. Whatever the zoo Frankfurt is doing, these so called zoofans didn't ike it.... I can give the answer. The ebars are living in this old exhibits since many,many,many years. So its not a diffrence, if they wait now one year longer for thier nw homes, but they zoo must doing many things better for the visitors, so a bigger entrance and a new restaurant, its very important. And the zoo can make a lot of money with a giftshop,money, which the the zoo can use for new exhibits.....And the bears will survive it, if they have to wait a year longer. And I'm sure, there are more reasons why the zoo is building first the entrance and then the bear exhibit.
