OK, so the great apes live in the new Borgori Wald now? I wanna see it when I visit the zoo this summer!

Yes, they are all in the Borgori now and doing very well in it. I think, you will not dissappointed of the new ape house.

I must say that I like the idea of spikes keeping the visitors away from harrassing the animals, as I am normally accustomed to this method being used to keep animals from escaping old and ugly zoo enclosures.

It could also be to keep visitors from sitting on the plants in front of the window.

At a guess. i would actually say. The spikes were placed there to stop people leaving hand/finger marks on the viewing window. As the maintence required would be allot.
