Yeah, the pelican was waiting to be thrown some fish, as was some of the other birds (cormorants, darter). The eels started appearing about 15 minutes before feeding and when the keepers appeared they came straight out of the water. They had to flip themselves and wiggle to get back into the water (obviously only the front of their bodies came out, but it was still interesting to watch). Quite large eels too, and I've never seen an eel feeding before. These eels are wild - they live in a lake adjacent to the sanctuary.
