The exhibit is not much taller than you can see, and I do not know how much space there is offshow. But they are aloud to be outside in winter time and when I visited in 2012 they even were partly outside at -10 degrees celsius. I do not know if they are all inside at night time.
Hamadryas baboons at Frankfurt used to occupy a moated 'rock' as a large group. Presumably no longer if they are inside the Monkeyhouse now? I saw these cages in the late 1960's and they don't look any different now.
This Cage is only for the public-the baboons have a second,much larger indoor exhibit in the cellar, not visible to the visitors, where they spend the night in wintertimes.
