Leipzig Zoo - Savannah

Part of the large savannah in the Africa-theme in Leipzig Zoo. Here lives baringo giraffes, grevy\'s zebra, scimitar-horned oryx, thomson\'s gazelle and ostrich. To the left you can see the Kiwara-Lodge.

This looks like a great savannah. Big, spacious and green.

Another excellent exhibit in a German Zoo, and from the many photos in the gallery Leipzig appears to be one of the best. The primate habitats are definitely world class.

I agree that this is another great exhibit from a great zoo.

Leipzig Zoo is a standing proof that old inner-city zoos and develop into world-class zoos with some truly great exhibit, if given the time and money.

In spring, the zoo will will introduce gnus into the svannah exhibit. So at last, another german zoo will keep gnus, only two commercial safariparks, three zoos and one private park,owned by a circus, in germany are keeping gnus. Only Blue gnus, white tailed are gone since 7 years.
