Home to Hamlyn's and De Brazza's Guenons, Cotton-topped Tamarins and Giant Cavies. The majority of the exhibits that held separate species in 2005 have now been run together for the two guenon species.

Very nice building. Quick question, what's a "giant cavy"?

Nevermind, I looked at the rest of your photos. Cavia maxima

It is a wonderful building. I understand from BjoernN it will ulitmately be incorporated into a new Insectarium in this area.

Is the insect exhibit the next project for this zoo now that Gondwanaland is up and running? How much of this zoo is still in need of upgrades?

From looking at the gallery and discussion threads about this zoo it looks like they have been very busy rebuilding over the past decade.

I think they have made massive progress but there are still some areas which need work, like the leopard cages and spectacled bear enclosure off the top of my head.

The next development is intended to be the South America area I believe.

@Shirokuma - the leopard cages are part of the site for South America so their time is limited now I think! I also believe that the South America area will include a new home for the Spectacled Bears.

The next development are probabaly new leopard exhibits, the next great project is the South America area.
