A great shame. This lovely bird was one of the highlights of the excellent bird house at Wuppertal.

What a beautiful bird!

Just noticed Zootierliste are still listing this species for Wuppertal, with a comment that it was seen on a visit in July 2010.

Have rumours of its death been exaggerated or has a new bird (or birds) arrived?

Saw them at Chester in the late 1980s but I could never get a photo. They are a nice species.

Thanks Eagle - good to know.

So according to ZTL, Vienna still has them albeit behind the scenes. Between 2010 and 2022, Amneville (2018-2019) and Loro Parque (seen once in 2019) has kept them.
