Its one of the best lion exhibts in germany, but many zoo enthuasists don't like it, because they have the opinion its to big for lions, unbelivable....Maybe its hard to spot the lions in it, but this good to the lions. I have no problems to come back later to an exhibit, if I can't see the animals in it, but how can I expect to see an active lion in the middle of the day ? Lions are mostly active in the morning and in the evening....
Don't forget, the animals are spend their whole lifes in the zoo, the people come only on a visit to the zoo....
That is fantastic!!! When I first saw a photo of the overall exhibit on ZooChat about a month ago, it made me want to go there. Looking into the city of Wuppertal and finding the historic monorail made me want to go even more. This photo absolutely cements my decision. As soon as I can get back to Europe, I must go to Wuppertal. On Eurail it is an easy three hour train ride from Paris, for as little as $76US.
(Only problem, besides raising money, is now I have to try and learn a few German phrases, even though my attempts at learning French for the last two trips were not that successful).
