From looking at their website and zoo map it looks like they still have elephants, so presumably the exhibit has been modernized at least to some degree?
The 2 elephants are still in the same exhibit, which is a shame for this great zoo. But the construction work for the new elephant enclosure (breeding group of africans) will start next year.
