This looks like a really nice, light, airy, natural giraffe house, and one that holds up well 20+ years after construction. Is that a reasonable assessment?

I would say so, yes. It is very nice from a visitor perspective. From a management perspective I would say that to floor looks a little too smooth but that is a minor detail. The covered area outside the house is a very nice touch though that would allow giraffes outside all throughout the year.
