Thanks for posting. This is really cool. California had a dwarf mammoth also from the California Channel Islands (SBMNH: Exhibitions > Exhibition Halls > Geology and Paleontology Hall). There was a whole radiation of miniature proboscideans out in some of the Indonesian islands too. It is a fascinating aspect of the largest land mammals that they could shrink too!
