Gorillas and Sumatran orangutans live in the Great Ape House, which is considered to a relatively 'young building' at Budapest (it was built in 1987, and renovated in 2003). The whole interior space for the gorillas is 200 square metres (exactly 250 square metres with the separation areas). Western lowland gorillas at Budapest: M Golo, b. Stuttgart in 1980, arrived to Budapest in 1989; F Liesel, b. Frankfurt in 1977, arrived to Budapest in 1989; F Iringa, b. Munich, in 1998, arrived to Budapest in 2004; M Ebobo, b. Budapest in 2000 (latest offspring of Golo x Liesel).
