One of the strangest exhibits I\'ve ever seen. A huge greenhouse full of pythons*.



*or boas. Probably boas, if I'm honest. Yeah, alright, they're boas. See below.

The photograph is probably incorrectly labelled; surely this is a "walk-in" exhibit rather than "walk-through", given that not all the visitors who enter are certain to leave.

Did they put all the snakes in the circular enclosure and just hope they'd stay put?!

At least these snakes aren't poisonous. In Malaysia even a walk-through exhibit presenting a poisonous species exists, see here:

@Fossa dude: no, this exhibit worked just approximately through two years, stopped at 2004.

@Damson - Thank you for the info. Its a cool idea but on the other hand its kinda creepy. Do you know if there is still a walkthrough anaconda exhibit at (I think) the Paris Zoo.

The species in question is rear fanged as apposed to fully venomous by the way! But still what a mental concept!
