Bioparco Roma - Elephants

wow, she is a very solid lil elephant!

I visited the Bioparco in 2009 and according to the lovely guidebook "Al bioparco..dal piccolo al grande, la tua guida" the 2 elephants are Nelly and Sofia who arrived at the bioparco from Assam, India in 1972 when they were 2 years old.

Thanks Carlos for info! I really like compact chunky elephants like this one! I've seen a similar looking one at Chester I believe!
