This looks an appalling horrible place.

Poor tiger (and all the rest).

I'm not sure that Macedonia is known for its quality zoos...

Is that another tiger in the exhibit.

oh dear! your right.. tigers aren't supposed to really be kept together unless cubs and mum or mating. I wonder if they fight alot.

Thats plain worng. Big cats like company and it would be cruel to keep them most of their life alone.

And even if this looks really bad: How much of the cage to we see?
Maybe cockroach could add some text about it.

Aren't tigers solitary by nature though?

Well, animals cant be pressed in categories... Tigers keep their social contacts in the wild. They are happy in zoos about company.

These cages (I will not say enclosures) were very small, about 6 square metres! (2 x 3) and indoor enclosure of that size. There were 2 tigers then - in 2000 or 2002 year, but thet were kept in different cages. Now I don't know, maybe one, nut pure subspecies.

Now it seems that zoo extend and built new enclosures, but yet they are not as they should be (very modern), and in this zoo live several animals, including lions, tiger, pigtailed macacues, ring-tailed lemurs, deers, coyotes, red fox, Griffon's vultures, yellow and blue macaw, buffalos, liamas, brown bears, european gray wolf (bosnian?), domestic birds, horses, goats. That is.
