During the summer they form a breeding-colony in Germany at the German / Dutch border.

The colony is made-up of some real wild birds and for the rest they are escaped birds from zoos and privat collections which include Chilian, European and red ones. There are also hybrids in the group - wildborn in Germany.
I don't know if any of these birds ever turn up in the UK as vagrants. Given the clear process by which a number of South European heron/ibis species are increasing in number here, maybe wild Greater Flamingoes from France or Spain may not be completely impossible.
