Butterfly ID

Breda, end of August 2013
According to my books this could be Berger's clouded yellow-Colius australis- which has
recently been described as a completely separate species. found throughout Europe it may well be a resident species.

Colias crocea - oranje luzernevlinder.

This species is a migrant species to the Netherlands (resident in southern Europe), so it depends how many individuals are seen from year to year. 2013 was a very successful year for this species and many have been seen in NL (they were also very abundant in Bulgaria and the Pyrenees).

Colias australis (or C. alfacariensis) is a species that can be found in large parts of southern and central europe, but certainly not in the Netherlands, with only 9 confirmed sightings in the 20th century this is a very rare vagrant here....
