Is the Apenhaul park is the only zoo that has a Proboscis monkey exhibition in Europe? How many are there in the park?

Yes it is, with one male only, they originally imported 3 males, but 2 have since died.
 
The first death was heart failure and was purely bad luck, Apenheul is not to blame here

The second death was liver failure and that could be related to food, but I do not know the details...
 
That's a shame, it would be nice for there to be a succesful population in Europe but it doesn't seem likely.
 
Officials of apenheul are at the moment in Singappre - where the 3 males came from - to talk about the future of the species in Europe
 
I heard a guide was telling people that there is a very big chance they will get new ones. I already emailed Apenheul to look what they have to say about this rumour.
