Can you explain what exactly is going on in your two enrichment photos?

Not exactly. There are several of the wooden devices pictured above. I believe simply shaking and keeping a hand under the opening will do the trick. Not sure what's in it. They are high up the poles and are meant to stimulate the orangs moving off the ground. The orangs usually hang around on the grass so it doesn't really seem to be doing the trick. But these enrichment items are probably already emptied when I come around.
The box in the other picture is more intricate en takes more effort. There's a similar one along the visitor's path as an example. It contains several floors with an opening. Poking through the wires items can be moved through the openings and finally be collected underneath. I don't know what kind of items are put in.
