dean 28 Jul 2014 I assume it will be one of the heliconia species or one of their mimics, VC but not sure which one
vogelcommando 28 Jul 2014 It is a Heliconia species. The owner of Berkenhof's Tropical Zoo told me himself
dean 29 Jul 2014 Oh I guessed you would know as much. As an aside do you know if the Artis zoo still have it's display of heliconia butterflies in the insect house VC? It's nearly 20 years since I was last in Amsterdam though so a lot must have changed at the zoo looking at the photos on here.

dean 29 Jul 2014 Thanks VC I thought they would have something better these days, butterflies seam to be such an easy display for a summer season.
