Toddy 25 May 2009 I have never seen a burrowing owl fly but I suppose that they can. I can't remember which species exactly but this walkthrough aviary was originally built for something else than burrowing owls.

lintworm 26 May 2009 Sometimes they do fly, but that's very rare. The exhibit was built for caracara, but the male found out, how to get out.
