Burgers Zoo - Orangutan exhibit

The exhibit for orangutans in Burgers Zoo. They only have this indoor exhibit which is not big enough. This is the really bad exhibit left in Burgers.

They really need an outdoor exhibit, but I don't think that will happen...

Yes, this is relly bad compared to all the other great enclosures at this zoo.

This exhibit is just about as bad as it gets...are there plans for it to be demolished?

Let me quote jwer from this topic:

"The latest RUMOURS however is that the Orang-utans will leave the park (currently they only have an indoor enclosure, which is discribed by just about everyone as the worst part of the Zoo)."

Yes they are gone by now. Instead of this hideous enclosure Burgers' created a lovely lemur enclosure!

And there is already a picture of it here in the gallery. When I last went to Burgers Zoo in March the exhibit was populated with ring-tailed lemurs. Do you know if there are plans to add another species?

They should be! We are a (very) small but powerful force! Actually, I think it might be just me but I can still make a mighty fuss

Well, I'm just thinking: How hard can it be to get some red-fronted or collared lemurs in there? That would create the same effect for the public and be geographically correct.
