I may have been unlucky, but I don't think I've seen the hartebeest here before. This is on the big African enclosure, which is truly wonderful - and not just because of this presence of this fantastic animal.

I may have been unlucky, but I don't think I've seen the hartebeest here before. This is on the big African enclosure, which is truly wonderful - and not just because of this presence of this fantastic animal.
I don´t think there are any plans to import more. It would be too much work to establish a healthy population, and with the lone male at Wroclaw zoo I would call it a phase out. Sad to see such species disappear, though.
