General view of the landscape in the Desert. Notice the cart in the background, this is a place where the gambel's and scaled quails like to hide.
Burgers' Desert was opened in 1994. It resembles the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico. It is connected through an underground tunnel to Burgers' Bush. There are dayactive as well as nightactive animals. Species include collared peccary, Californian bighorn sheep, ring-tailed cat and turkey vulture.
